After reading a bit, I have come up with a list of things that I wish to work on during the year. The list isn’t complete yet and I must be 100% honest and admit that I don’t understand the reasoning behind all of the points. One of the things I wish to do is to dive in and learn why those changes are needed and IF they really are needed.
All the details haven’t been decided yet and I will see how I can apply a version of the SMART goals here. This page will be updated before the new year kicks off and will be used as a reference throughout the year.
I used the things described in “50 ways to help the planet” and removed the stuff that I’m already doing or that isn’t applicable.
- Eat vegan (pescatarian now, already eat mostly vegan but wish to increase the percentage of vegan meals. They should of course be without palm oil or non organic soy)
- Save water through quick showers, not having running water while washing the dishes etc
- “Plastbanta” which means avoid plastic
- Bring reusable bags to shops
- Shop in second hand stores
- Reduce waste: food but also packaging etc
- Do laundry when the machine is full (this will be hard as I am kind of a minimalist…)
- No more TA-coffee unless I have my own cup
- Buy local food that is in season
- Travel by train whenever possible
